1.What is the difference between a medium and a psychic?

A medium works on a different level than a psychic and usually offers a different type of information. A medium will make a connection with your loved ones in spirit and the information given is a communication from spirit. A psychic attunes to and interprets the energies from the sitter and spirit does not often come into the equation.

2. When booking a reading, you asked me not to include any details regarding my loved one in spirit, myself, or my family. Why is this? Aren't you interested? Don't you care?

It is not that I don't care, on the contrary, by asking you not to reveal any details regarding you, or your loved one in spirit, you can be sure that the information which is given to you in your reading does come from spirit and is not something that is being "re-cycled" back to you.

3. You advertise that you use tarot cards to do your readings. If you are a Spiritual Medium, why do you need the cards?

You are right, a Spiritual Medium does not need to use tarot cards, or anything else, e.g. an item of jewellery or clothing ( hat, scarf, glove etc ) because they receive the information for your reading from your loved ones in spirit.

I use the tarot cards to give guidance for the future, because that is what most people are familiar and comfortable with. It helps to differentiate between the two types of readings that I offer i.e.

a. Tarot readings which give information relating to your past, present and future or

b. Mediumship readings which help to prove that life does exist after physical death.

Information for both Tarot and Mediumship readings come from your loved ones in spirit, whether I use tarot cards or nothing.

Another reason I sometimes use Tarot cards, is because some sitters feel a little 'uneasy' about the prospect of "talking to the dead."

4. Do you think mediums disturb the dead?

I have developed my gift of mediumship, but have ambivlent thoughts about my actually doing any mediumship work. A psychic reader has told me not to do this... don't disturb the dead... my husband says I should not do this.. the bible says not to. Do you think mediums disturb the dead?

Neither I, nor you, disturb the dead. There is no such thing as death, when the physical body dies, the spirit lives on. This is the "life ever lasting" which Jesus spoke about.. It is sad that some religions place such ideas as disturbing the dead, into the hearts and minds of others.

I am fortunate because in Wales, where I used to live, Spiritualism is a recognised religion and it is very popular there. We have many Spiritualist organisations who preach the bible and the teachings of our brother Jesus the Christ.

Even Jesus said "In my father's house, there are many mansions" and "Greater things than this you shall do also".

There is much guilt laying by some religions and they put the fear of God into the hearts of very Spiritual people, to frighten them off from being the beautiful people God created them to be. Society does the same thing in a different way. There are a lot of people who do not understand the principles of Spiritualism. I do not call up the dead, for the simple reason, that their spirits are not dead. They come to prove that there is life after physical death, to prove the continuation of life and the cycle of life beyond this world.

It is sad to hear that your husband feels so strongly against what you do. Fear and a lack of knowledge or understanding can do that to a person.

How many of your family / friends go to the rememberance gardens to visit their loved ones and spend hours sometimes talking to them at the graveside ? How many feel they hear their loved ones answer them........

My understanding of God and Jesus is that they offer true spiritual, compassionate and unconditional love, and this is what they want us to demonstrate in our lives. Any religion that does not allow you to question issues of their preachers, or their understanding of God, is to take away your human rights and God would never be happy with such attitudes and restrictions imposed on us to restrict our growth.

5. There are only a few mediums and psychics left who give readings in chat rooms, why is this?

I am unable to speak for other mediums, as I am sure they all have their different reasons. However, psychics who "read the energy of the sitter" rather than connecting to the spirit world, find it difficult to give readings via the internet.

6. What is the difference between a Spiritual Medium and a Psychic medium?

A Spiritual Medium connects with the spirit of your loved one(s ) who have passed on into the spirit world. A Psychic Medium, by definition of the name, claims to work on a psychic level and also to communicate with the spirit world. If a person is a medium and is thereby able to connect to the spirit world, they shouldn't need to work on a psychic level, so the true definition of the term "psychic medium" appears, to me, to be a contradiction.

7. I am still unsure which reading to order. Can you help me decide?

All the information that I receive comes from spirit. People who are interested in a reading to give them guidance for their present and future usually order a Tarot Reading, whilst those that want to connect with a loved one in spirit order a Mediumship Reading.

It doesn't make a lot of difference really, as all the information comes from your loved ones in spirit, it just depends which areas you want to "focus" on. Mostly, when clients book their first appointment they have a mediumship reading so that they can find out about their loved one( s ) in spirit. They have a mediumship reading to obtain proof that it is their loved one(s) who is communicating.

Subsequent readings are then booked for guidance in the here and now and the future. The information is still coming from loved ones in spirit, but as there is no need for the in depth "proof" of who is speaking to Laurence, the focus is more on guidance.

8.How do I book a reading with you?

After you visit one of our secure order pages and complete an order form, I send a couple of appointment dates and times for you to choose from via email. Included in the same email is our telephone number. At the appointed time, you would telephone us ( we are on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada ) where Laurence will be waiting to deliver and tape your reading.

9. How long does a reading last?

Usually the session will last 45 - 60mins, but it all depends on what comes through. If the reading does lasts more than 45 - 60mins, no extra charge is made.

A telephone reading ( mediumship or tarot ) is $200US

11.Can I tape my reading?

Yes, you are welcome to tape the reading at your end. Laurence also tapes all telephone readings at his end. The tape recording is then sent on to you at no extra charge.

12. Why is it "unsafe" to give information into a mediumship / psychic chat room?

Most people who gain access to a chat room have the ability to "log" the chat. This means that they have a copy of the chat session saved to their computer, for them to look at later. Visitors to chat rooms like to keep the same "nick" name, which identifies them whichever room they might be visiting. If you use the same "nick" in all rooms you go to and give information into those rooms, anyone can "re-cycle" that information back to you in the pretence that they are getting it psychically or from your loved one in spirit.

You must remain aware of the fact that you are in a public chat room where anyone is able to enter and remain invisible or anonymous to the rest of the room.

I have heard of a "medium" who enters chat rooms, talks privately, behind the scenes, to other people in the room, and relays back to the unsuspecting people who they are privately chatting with, information which they themselves have innocently shared in previous chat sessions ( in the same, or a different chat room ) The unsuspecting person is so "blown away" by the accuracy of this so called "medium" that they immediately sign up for a private reading with them.

You must always be aware of what personal information you give in a public chat room. Many people like to get to a chat room at least 10mins before the chat is due to start, some even come as much as 30mins to an hour before. They chat amongst themselves, oblivious that the chat room is open and can be watched and logged by anyone who happens to be in that room on a "gathering of information" session.

Contrary to popular belief, mediums and psychics are not machines which can be randomly turned on and off. Many subtle factors are involved in the receiving and interpretation of information being relayed by your loved ones in spirit. Sometimes, everything falls very nicely into place and a strong connection, or link is established. At other times, this may not be the case. The failure to establish or maintain a strong link with spirit may have nothing to do with either the medium or the person having the reading and this is especially so in public chat rooms where others, play psychic "tricks" or try to sabotage the session.

13. How can I find out whether a medium or psychic is genuine?

You should expect to pay a reasonable rate for the services offered
by a good medium or psychic. However, extremely high fees should be avoided, as they do not reflect the quality of the medium or psychic's work, only their motive for making financial gain.

Be careful when a medium says that he or she will promise communication from a specific loved one in spirit. No medium, or psychic can make that guarantee. In most cases it does happen, but nothing can be guaranteed, only that the medium or psychic do their best and that you will recognise, without a doubt, the loved ones who do connect.

Be very very wary of mediums or psychics who ask personal questions, either before or during your reading. They will often, "fish" for information and recycle that information back to you, either as a message from a loved one in spirit or as part of a psychic reading. No true medium or psychic needs to know anything about you, except your first name. If you are asked for additional information, do not give it.

Be suspicious of mediums or psychics who offer to "sell" you Spirit Guides or information regarding your past lives. What proof have you, that what you are buying is true. How can it be validated?

14. Why haven't you written a book?

Many of my clients are writers and they ask me the same question. My mediumship and healing keeps me very busy. I am hoping, one day,to write a book.
